The Perfect Solution for Applications Where Space is at a Premium
The miniature LVIT linear position sensor's compact design with built-in electronics and lightweight package make it an ideal choice for applications such as drones, aerospace, automotive, robotics, and manufacturing where precision in position sensing is crucial.
The small diameter stainless steel body allows for installation in tight spaces where larger sensors might not fit, enabling more flexible and intricate engineering solutions. Additionally, units offer a wide range of available measurement options which ensures suitability for a broad spectrum of requirements within these applications.
Moreover, the contactless nature of LVITs ensures reliability and durability in demanding environments. Without any physical contact, there are no components prone to wear, reducing maintenance needs and ensuring a longer lifespan for the sensor.
The combination of exceptional repeatability, high resolution, and cost-effectiveness makes these miniature sensors stand out in the market. Their performance, comparable to higher-end contactless sensors, while maintaining a price point akin to industrial-grade linear potentiometers, offers a significant advantage for budget-conscious projects without compromising on quality or accuracy.
In summary, the miniature linear position sensor's compact size, diverse range options, contactless technology, and cost-effectiveness make it a compelling choice for various applications seeking precise and reliable position sensing solutions while adhering to strict space and weight constraints.
LZ-9.5 Miniature DC-to-DC Sensor
The LZ-9.5 has a 9.5 mm (0.375 inch) outside diameter stainless steel body with a 1 m (39 inch) axial cable for I/O connections. These DC in / DC out LZ-9.5’s are offered in nominal full-scale ranges from 6.4 to 150 mm (0.25 to 6 inches) with excellent stroke-to-length ratios. Features a 2.5 mm (0.096 inch) diameter stainless steel moving rod with an M2.5 end thread and hex jam nut.
LZ-13 Miniature DC-To-DC Sensor
The LZ-13 has a 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) outside diameter stainless steel body with a 1 m (39 inch cable for I/O connections. This sensor is offered in nominal full-scale ranges from 2.5 to 200 mm (0.1 to 8 inches) with an excellent stroke-to-length ratio. The 4.78 mm (0.188 inch) diameter through-bore of an LZ-13 provides clearance for its 4 mm (0.157 inch) diameter moving target rod with M4 thread and hex nut, which is made of the same material as its housing. This through-bore feature also means that the sensor is not subject to damage from typical mechanical overstroking.
