Electrical Engineering Position

Job Description - Electrical Engineer w/ Programming

Alliance Sensors Group is a world leader in electrical mechanical sensors and we are looking for an Electrical Engineer with programming experience to aid in the design, development, and manufacture of both existing and new designs.

Responsibilities include the following:

-   Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, products, facilities, components, and equipment.

-  Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.

-  Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.

-  Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, or technical drawings.

-  Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.

-  Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.

-  Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.

-  Supervising or training project team members.

-  Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.

-  Maintaining electrical equipment.

Working with a variety of technicians and assemblers.

-  Other duties may be assigned, as needed.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
-   Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. 
-   Proficient in design and calculation software.

Other Skills:
-   Proficient in Programming C. 
 Familiar with National Instruments Equipment and Software.
-   Mechanical engineering and or inductive sensors is a plus.

Electronic Assembler Position

We are looking for an assembler and will train for the position to connect parts into more complex components. We will consider any applicant with manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands, or machines, to do the job with greater precision. Have or we will train the ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc., and follow them with precision is extremely important. In this position, you will work with electrical or electronic components, such as coil assemblies, circuit boards and mechanical assemblies. This role involves following repetitive production standards and work instructions. However, any soldering and wiring experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

-  Assemble parts and subassemblies using hand tools and power tools.

-  Ability to work with small parts.

Read wiring diagrams and assembly drawings as well as verbal instructions.

-  Perform basic soldering functions, including cable assembly and minor PCB modifications.

-  Utilize test equipment, like multimeters or test fixtures.

-  Must have ability to pay attention to detail and have excellent hand dexterity.

-  Maintain acceptable levels of production according to established standards.

-  Practices good safety and housekeeping procedures.

 

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

High School Degree (or equivalent).

 

Other Skills:

Ability to carry out instruction in written, oral or diagram form.

-  Ability to work closely with others to form a strong team spirit.

Basic math skills are needed, along with the ability to utilize basic hand tools.
