Alliance Sensors Group Introduces the S2A™ CyberSecure Smart AC-LVDT Signal Conditioner

The Industry’s Most Advanced Signal Conditioning Solution for Power Generation and Critical Infrastructure

Pennsauken, New Jersey — February 23, 2026 — H. G. Schaevitz LLC, an Alliance Sensors Group company, announces the release of the S2A™ CyberSecure Smart AC-LVDT Signal Conditioner, the most advanced stand-alone AC-LVDT signal conditioner available for power generation and other high-reliability applications.

Designed for fast, intuitive setup and maximum system integrity, the S2A is engineered to operate with the widest range of LVDTs, RVDTs, and inductive half-bridge sensors on the market. Supported devices include 3-wire GE LVRTs and GE gas turbine buck-boost style LVDTs, making the S2A an ideal upgrade or replacement solution for legacy turbine and control systems.

What truly sets the S2A apart is its built-in cybersecurity architecture. Unlike conventional signal conditioners, the S2A incorporates tamper-prevention and tamper-notification features, providing system operators with immediate visibility if the unit has been accessed or compromised—an essential capability for today’s cyber-aware power generation environments.

Key S2A Features

    • Cybersecurity protection to prevent unauthorized tampering and notify main system operations of intrusion attempts
    • Color-coded, plug-in connections for fast, error-free installation
    • Advanced self-diagnostics for enhanced system awareness
    • Two-year warranty

S2A Operating Capabilities

    • Push-button calibration for rapid commissioning
    • RS-485 digital communications for remote setup and monitoring
    • Hot-swap capability to minimize downtime
    • Enhanced fault diagnostics for mission-critical applications

The S2A delivers more diagnostic capability than any other stand-alone LVDT signal conditioner currently available. Designed for demanding environments such as nuclear and fossil power plant steam turbine control systems, the S2A can detect at least eleven (11) distinct fault conditions, helping operators identify issues before they impact system performance or safety.

Setup time is dramatically reduced—by as much as 10×—through the S2A’s intelligent, microprocessor-based calibration process. Calibration is accomplished simply by pressing the front-panel Zero and Full Scale buttons, allowing the unit to automatically configure itself to the connected LVDT. For added flexibility, the S2A can also be configured remotely via a computer using its integrated RS-485 communication port.

With its combination of cybersecurity, diagnostics, ease of use, and broad sensor compatibility, the S2A™ sets a new standard for AC-LVDT signal conditioning in power generation and other high-reliability control systems.
